Alisa was born in the foothills of North Carolina and has lived in Wake County since she received a Master’s degree in Psychology from Appalachian State University. She has been a child psychologist for 25 years, with a specialization in diagnosing autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays in early childhood. For the past 16 years, she worked as a team psychologist conducting multidisciplinary assessments for the Office of Early Learning in the Wake County Public School System. She enjoys helping parents access special education services and other therapies to accelerate a child’s journey towards his or her best learning.
Alisa and her husband have two wonderful sons who attended Wake County Public Schools. She is very familiar with parenting in Wake County. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, trying new
local foodie spots, watching crime dramas or HGTV, and relaxing outside at the lake, beach, or mountains.
Alisa has had the opportunity to evaluate several thousand children throughout her career. Every child is unique, and I love to work alongside parents highlighting a
child’s talents and strengths.
Alisa is currently accepting patients 2 years old - 8 years old for autism spectrum disorder assessments. No therapy.
