Dr. Joanna Schechner earned her doctorate degree from the Florida Institute of Technology. She specializes in psychological assessments for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, psychiatric disorders and Learning Disabilities. She also specializes in medical evaluations that include immigration evaluations, bariatric and spinal cord evaluations as well as adoption evaluations. Dr. Schechner enjoys working with a variety of disorders ranging from depression and anxiety to eating disorders and substance abuse to psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. She is trained in CBT, DBT and motivational interviewing and implements an eclectic approach to therapy. Dr. Schechner loves to learn and loves to take the journey to psychological wellbeing with her patients.

In her spare time, Dr. Schechner loves to spend time with friends, her husband and their 6 cats. She enjoys diamond art, painting and figure skating. Dr. Schechner also loves to travel and play board games.
